We are a fine and - yes, we use this term - basically good middle-class restaurant. Our menu is classic. We offer dishes that you can expect in the "Wald" & "am Rhein". But with "better" and "more sophisticated" approach. What we mean by this is that we mainly work with suppliers and producers that are known to us. The meat, for example, comes mainly from the butcher Jenzer in Arlesheim and is sustainably produced. At the same time, of course, we also serve the classic dishes.
The schnitzel "Viennese style" will continue to make a splash, and we also have a nice children's menu on offer. All of this is complemented by seasonal specialties such as venison or our Sunday roast. Lunch menus are designed for local businesses and day-trippers, while evening and "gourmet" menus change every month, bringing in new guests, friends and neighbors.
Regional soft drinks, beer from the in-house brewery "Stadtmauer Brauer" and selected regional wines complete the culinary offer. A special highlight are the spirits from the Rheinbrand distillery.
